"Fuzzy Udder Creamery"
Located in the windy pastures of Whitefield Maine. We milk a small herd of high-percentage East Fresian dairy sheep and primarily alpine crosses for dairy goats. Fuzzy Udder Creamery milks 51 sheep and goats and makes hand-crafted artisan cheese from our sheep and goat milk as well as organic jersey cow’s milk from Two Loons farm in South China. Our sheep and goats dine on lush 2nd cut hay, organic grain, Maine grown oats, Maine seaweed and an array of minerals daily. We are committed to environmentally sound and socially conscious practices, including a healthy work environment for our employees. Our animals’ happiness and health comes first and they are raised with lots of love.
Some of the cheeses we make include: fresh hand-stretched mozzarella, sheep milk yogurt, fresh sheep and goat cheese, Tempest (cow, tomme-style), Windswept (sheep/goat hard Italian style), Frost Heave (goat hard Italian style), Landslide (cow, swiss-style), ashed cheeses (Whirlwind and Waldo Smog), brie styles, and washed rinds. We have a 24/7 self-serve sale fridge at our farm and sell cheese at numerous retail and restaurant locations throughout Maine. We also sell at the following farmer's markets: Orono, Damarascotta, Camden, Bath, and Bar Harbor.
